RE: Fox Ridge Development in Centennial
Dear David Gertz;
As you are aware, during review of water plans the District’s engineering consultant made the following comment:
The hydraulic gradient for the water system is 5868. Pressures on the site will vary from approximately 43 psi to 52 psi.
As a result, the District’s Board of Directors advised you that individual booster pumps must be installed in each home to increase the pressures. This will avoid homeowner concerns about pressure. In addition we require that a reduced pressure principle assembly be installed upstream from the booster pump and at least 5 feet from the meter to prevent back pressure from entering the distribution system. The District will not set a meter and begin water service until inspection has confirmed installation of a booster pump and testing of the installed backflow device.
Please advise the homeowner that the backflow device must be tested annually with the results provided to the District. All backflow testing must be completed by a certified backflow tester.
If you have questions regarding the District, the booster pumps, or water tap fees, please call our office at 303-770-8625 or visit the District web site at www.willowswater.org.
